Below are the policies that guide the operation of the studio.
Considerable time, energy, and attention are dedicated to the long-term growth of each student.
To maintain consistent, high-quality lessons and ensure that every student receives the care and focus they deserve, the following guidelines are in place.
Tuition and Fees
- Tuition is charged at a flat monthly rate. Most months include four (4) or five (5) lessons, with some months offering only three (3) lessons due to major holidays.
- Autopay may be set up at a date of your convenience via Venmo, Zelle, or PayPal.
- Each student is assigned a reserved weekly time slot. Their spot will remain on the schedule until notice of discontinuation is provided. Please notify the studio at least four weeks prior to ending lessons.
- Tuition applies to all reserved lesson times regardless of attendance, absence, or cancellation. Missed lessons cannot be refunded or credited toward future months.
- The flat monthly rate is in effect from September 1 through June 30. In the months of July and August, with the understanding of the amount of family trips that normally takes place, lessons are calculated on a per-lesson basis.
- Tuition rates are reviewed and adjusted annually to reflect inflation.
Missed Lessons and Make-up Lessons
- A lesson is considered missed if the student fails to arrive within the first 10 minutes of the scheduled time. No make-up lesson will be offered for no-shows. If arrival is delayed beyond 10 minutes, the remaining time will still be used for the lesson.
- Events such as school trips, birthday parties, sleepovers, sports games, short vacations, and other similar activities overlapping with lesson times are treated as missed lessons.
- For these cases, an asynchronous lesson will be provided: the student will submit video recordings of their playing, and the teacher will respond with feedback, comments, and suggestions for improvement for the week’s practice.
- If a student is unwell but able to participate, the lesson will take place virtually. If the student is too sick to attend, an asynchronous lesson will be assigned instead.
- Please give at least 2 days’ notice for planned absences or notify by 10:00 a.m. on the day of the lesson in the case of illness.
- On the rare occasion the teacher must cancel a lesson, a refund will be issued.
